Looking to Renovate? Read this first.

When a person remodels or renovates their home/office, it can be a costly project. Most people would like their remodel project to run smoothly without setbacks, accidents, or cost overruns for the homeowner.

Remodel

According to Handy Andy, the key to having a smooth renovation or remodel is to select a good date and to consult with a Ze Ri Date Selection Practitioner to see where not to renovate in the home.

Handy Andy says a Ze Ri Date Selection Practitioner can pick times that are auspicious for commencing the renovation or groundbreaking. If these afflictions are activated, setbacks, delays, and accidents can happen that will cost the homeowner more money.

In Feng Shui, there are afflictions that move to a new direction every year.  An affliction is a negative body of Qi. When one is renovating, they should be aware of the Four Afflictions which are inauspicious directions that contain Sha Qi ( Killing Breath). They are 5 Yellow, 3 Killings, Grand Duke (Tai Sui), and Year Breaker(Sui Po).  In this newsletter, I will tell you where it is this year.

The Grand Duke Star takes residence in the South2 sector for 2014. This is considered an inauspicious star, so it’s imperative that you do not activate the sector. Minor disturbances can trigger minor effects such as loss of money.  Intermediate disturbances can bring blood related injury and loss of wealth. Extreme disturbances could bring severe injury, calamities and fatalities to the person residing in this property. It is the least worrisome of the Annual afflictions.  If the main door or house faces this position, avoid renovation the entire year. The Grand Duke corresponds to the year branch and encompasses the entire 15 degree sector of the branch.

The Year Breaker is often referred to as “Sui Po”. It is located at the opposite side of the Grand Duke. If the “Year Breaker”is located at the sitting direction of the house, do not commence new construction that year. If it is necessary to renovate, consult the Tong Shui and the Great Sun Formula to find the best dates for commencement.

The 3 Killings is also referred as “San Sha”. If activated by renovation, it can cause loss of wealth, robbery, betrayal, mishaps and minor operations. This affliction moves in a counter-clockwise direction with the cardinals.

In 2014, the main killing is located in the North sector. Keep this area as quiet as possible. There are 2 assistant killings that occupy the sub sectors on either side of the main killing spanning 15 degrees each. If this sector is activated by renovation activity, it can create serious negative consequences for both the property and its occupants. This includes theft, mishaps and accidents.

Renovation

The most dangerous sector this year is located in the NW. Renovation to this area must be avoided without question. The “5 Yellow”is activated with loud noises from such activities as demolishing walls and digging into the ground in that sector. This sector should be kept quiet and peaceful.

The 5 Yellow (Wu Wong) occupies 45 degrees of the Feng Shui Compass. It relates to where the Five Annual Flying Star is located. If you renovate in this area you may become ill instantly. This includes activities such as cutting down trees. Also, do not keep pets in this afflicted area. They normally will fall ill, or possibly die. They say in the books that the Five Yellow is unpredictable because it has no trigram to it, and is a yin negative earth energy.

If you have to renovate in these areas of negative Qi, it is best to consult with a Ze Ri Date Selection Practitioner, for advice on where these afflicted areas are located. The practitioner is knowledgeable on where the afflictions are located, and what areas to start the remodeling and what type of stars are present in each sector of the house, and each day of the renovation.

They will use the Great Sun Formula to select the best times for renovation during the year.  The window of time that they use from the Great Sun Formula, is when the negative body of Qi is least powerful.  We must avoid the adverse effects of such afflictions, and prevent them from inflicting any catastrophe on you and your loved ones.
